ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1. Maintains accurate records to document the activities of the Meals on Wheels Program.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION
The Director of Finance provides critical financial leadership and plays a key role in guiding the agency toward long-term success that ensures financial stability. This position is responsible for directing, developing, and managing accounting and finance operations in a way that empowers our internal and external stakeholders to readily understand our financial position and operating results.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1. Develops and manages day-to-day fiscal operations of the agency.
a. Drives the financial planning of the agency by regularly reviewing, analyzing and managing its financial performance and risks.
b. Retains constant awareness of the company’s cash position and acts to prevent problems through forecasting and cost containment.
c. Thinks long-term, anticipates future trends, and plans strategically.
d. Manages and evolves agency budgets across multiple programs.
e. Works closely with management team to outline company goals and oversee the organization’s long-term financial health.
f. Continuously coordinates with program directors in a combined effort to drive both program(s) and agency success.
g. Promotes agency reputation through timely collection of accounts receivable, efficient accounts payable processing, and accurate reporting.
h. Develops procedures and systems for use in ensuring financial control and availability of data for analysis.
i. Identifies opportunities and implements changes to improve accounting and financial processes to be more effective and efficient.
j. Maintains compliance with accounting standards (GAAP), government regulations, industry standards, and tax laws.
2. Directly responsible for duties that provide visibility into financial performance and contributes to and/or uncovers trends that improve business operations.
a. Maintains integrity of general ledger by performing thorough monthly reviews utilizing subledgers and restricted fund accounts.
b. Maintains subledgers including balance sheet accounts, fixed asset schedule, restricted funds and inventories.
c. Develops annual agency and program budgets that provide spending guidance, forecast future needs, and drive agency success.
d. Prepares monthly financial statements and variance analysis along with supporting narrative, graphs and illustrations which allow the reader to easily understand our financial position and operating results.
e. Monitors funding contracts and allocates appropriately by program and funding source within financial reports.
f. Works with insurance carriers and other vendors to complete compilations, reviews, and audits as required by contract.
g. Serves as principal liaison to external auditor and compiles supporting documentation for annual financial statement audits and 990 filings.
h. Continuously monitors internal control processes to ensure accounting, nonprofit, and industry standards are met.
i. Addresses on-going financial concerns of vendors, contractors and funders in a professional, stakeholder focused manner.
j. Serves as a resource for all internal billing functions.
k. Negotiates and monitors financial aspect of all vender contracts and quotes including leases, capital purchases, utilities, suppliers, special projects, and any purchases qualifying for restricted funding.
l. Updates and maintains agency information on SRC website and external donor and informational websites.
m. Actively participates in the agency strategic planning process and is directly responsible for the accounting department’s role in the plan.
3. Manages direct personnel toward overall agency financial success.
a. Supervises and monitors all accounting systems and staff including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, inventories, cash management, fixed assets, financial reporting and other duties.
b. Oversight of emergency response program to include reception desk.
c. Creates department goals and empowers and mentors employees to attain those goals.
d. Conducts performance reviews of accounting staff including clarifying agency, department and individual expectations.
e. Ensures adequate training and cross training of all accounting staff.
4. Serves as finance and accounting expert on funding contracts.
a. Maintains thorough knowledge of all funding contracts and establishes and maintains open relationships with the fiscal staff of funders.
b. Participates in funding application process and subsequent reporting in conjunction with all program directors.
c. Monitors monthly contract revenue on financial statements to ensure billings meet or exceed pre-determined targets.
d. Facilitates requests for financial aspects of contract related field audits.
5. Coordinates with management team peers in a combined effort to drive both program and agency success.
a. Works closely with program directors to develop program budgets, ensure satisfactory variance analysis and maximize contract revenue.
b. Participates in funding proposal and application process as requested.
e. Assists program directors in setting monthly unit and/or dollar goals to maximize contract funding that will allow the agency to serve as many clients as possible.
a. Develop and maintain financial framework for preventative maintenance, capital lease/purchases and other program expenses.
6. Performs other related duties as required for the effective operation of the accounting department and the agency.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
KNOWLEDGE OF: Generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS), and financial planning and analysis (FP&A). Local, state and federal grant management.

Senior Resource Connection is seeking an experienced INTAKE CLERK for a part-time position in our Meals on Wheels program.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION
This position is accountable for assisting the Meals on Wheels Records Coordinator in tabulating and maintaining accurate records for the Meals on Wheels Division of the Nutrition Services Department with strict client confidentiality.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
1. Helps to maintain accurate records to document the activities of the Meals on Wheels division.
a. Completes new client intake procedures.
b. Prepares route sheets for use by drivers on a weekly basis.
c. Maintains accurate Meal on Wheels filing system.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION
This position is accountable for the overall cleanliness and appearance of the Senior Resource Connection at 105 S. Wilkinson Street and associated offices.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1. Assures the assigned building and offices are thoroughly cleaned each day.
2. Activities to be completed on an “as needed” basis.
3. Arranges furniture for meetings or other special events held in any of the building areas inside or outside.
4. Report any faulty equipment or other repairs needed to supervisor.
5. Coordinate any supply or equipment requirements, as well as periodic or specialty cleaning with supervisor.
6. Cleans parking lots and grounds on an as needed basis and performs an outdoor walk-around on a daily basis.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
KNOWLEDGE OF: Standard business housekeeping procedures and requirements as well as sanitation and safety standards.

This position is accountable for the overall cleanliness and appearance of the Senior Resource Connection buildings and offices as well as the general maintenance of lighting, HVAC, end of day waste removal and building security.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1. Assures the assigned building and offices are thoroughly cleaned each day.
a. Waste cans are emptied, and all trash is removed from building and compacted in the dumpster by end of each day.
b. Coordinates with Vehicle Maintenance if any supplies are needed.
i. Minor vehicle repairs as needed.
c. Replaces any filters for furnace or air conditioners as needed.
Storage closets and areas will be kept clean and neat with all cleaning supplies stored appropriately.
d. Keep an inventory of all tools and equipment used in the performance of the maintenance & custodial position.
2. Cleans parking lots and grounds.
3. Assists with ice and snow removal and salt application, coordinates with snow removal service for parking lots.
4. Monitors minor repair needs for building.
a. Replaces burned out light bulbs as needed (for 105 S. Wilkinson and 222 Salem buildings).
b. Ensures that minor painting or woodwork touch-up is done.
c. Replaces stained ceiling tiles as needed.
d. Report any faulty equipment or other major repairs needed to Supervisor.
e. Performs minor maintenance repair as needed.
5. Secures building and sets alarms daily. (105 S. Wilkinson building only)
a. Answer after hour’s security alarm calls.
6. Coordinate any supply or equipment requirements, as well as periodic or specialty cleaning.
7. Performs general organizational errands as indicated by the Supervisor.
8. Provides any other appropriate support for the successful operation and appearance of the building or surrounding grounds.
9. Act as substitute driver for Bulk and Meals on Wheels as needed.
10. Fill in in the frozen department as needed.
11. Responsible for:
a. Repairing roof or ceiling leaks or coordinating needed repairs.
b. Oliver Machine maintenance and repairs.
c. Oliver Machine stock and inventory of trays.
d. Rotate files for shredding.
e. Scrapping
f. Maintain air compressor for HVAC units.
g. Maintenance and repair of ice machine; monitor for needs both inside and out.
h. Rumpke maintenance.
i. Inspection assistance-boiler, elevator, fire, sprinkler, etc.
j. Work with outside contractors for HVAC, electrical work, and major plumbing.
12. Performs other related duties as assigned by the supervisor for the efficient operation of the department and the agency.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
KNOWLEDGE OF: Standard business janitorial/custodial/general maintenance and building utility procedures and requirements as well as sanitation and safety standards and HVAC.

Completion of a standard high school course of study or equivalent with at least one (1) year of janitorial/custodial experience. Must be flexible in time scheduling and capable of moderate lifting (50-100 lbs. with or without lift assists)
