This position is accountable for performing a variety of duties in support of Food/Nutrition Services, such as stockroom organization, inventory, sanitation and cleaning. Washing dishes with the 3-compartment sink method. Persons in this position must be flexible in the performance of a variety of duties from day-to-day. This is a Part-Time position. Hours are 6:00am -1:00pm Monday - Friday.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1. Assures efficient operation of the stock room area.
a. Receives all ordered items and checks vendor invoices against items received.
b. Stock all incoming items correctly.
c. Maintain good warehouse procedures in day-to-day management of stockroom.
d. Reports and works with Food Production Clerk to resolve all discrepancies.
e. Maintain the first-in, first-out rule.
2. Assures clean and sanitized stocking areas.
a. Clean and sanitize walk-ins weekly.
b. Clean inside of walk-ins as needed.
c. Clean outside of freezers weekly.
d. Keep stockroom clean and orderly.
3. Performs all duties as related to the dish room. Washing, rinsing, and sanitizing of all dishes, putting them away, and keeping shelving units clean and organized.
4. Performs other related duties as assigned for the effective operation of the department and the agency.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
KNOWLEDGE OF: Basic Math skills (add, subtract, multiply). Food service operations and procedures relating to warehouse inventory and stockroom as well as cleaning and sanitation.
ABILITY TO: Read and follow directions and plan-o-grams. Document information; physically stack and store food cases and disposables; compute figures; maintain inventory and communicate effectively with peers and supervisor.
SKILL IN: Inventory/warehouse management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of a standard high school course of study or equivalent with one (1) to two (2) years experience in food warehousing or inventory control and record keeping. Previous experience in a service-oriented business environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift from floor to waist up to 70 lbs.; 2 handed carrying of up to 70 lbs. which includes pushing and pulling carts. Take down product from top shelves. Physical actions include standing, walking, climbing, carrying, handling, stooping, twisting, bending, pushing, pulling, and sitting.
OTHER
Incumbents face exposure to potentially dangerous cleaning chemicals utilized in sanitation procedures as well as equipment and supply hazards such as wet or hot work surfaces. Work on concrete flooring; in extreme cold ≤65° temperatures and in hot temperatures ≥ 80°. Exposed to wet and cold work surfaces and sharp edges on food containers and boxes.
This position is accountable for providing necessary assistance to food service and preparation personnel as assigned on a daily basis. Persons fulfilling this position must be flexible and willing to perform a variety of different duties from day-to-day. This is a full-time Monday - Friday position. Hours are 5:00am - 1:00pm. Pay is $12.10/hr
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1. Assists food service personnel with various aspects of food preparation.
a. Prepare main entrees as assigned.
b. Prepare cold food and side dishes, including vegetables, fruits, salads, sandwiches and baked goods.
c. Prepares dietary foods for therapeutic diets when necessary.
d. Packs cold foods and supplies into carryout containers.
e. Assists with the packing of hot foods into carryout containers for home delivered meals.
f. Records temperature of foods prior to transportation to congregate dining sites.
2. Participates in maintaining clean surroundings in the kitchen area according to accepted industry sanitation standards.
a. Cleans and washes kitchen equipment and utensils as assigned.
b. Mops floors and disposes of trash on a daily basis.
3. Assures efficient, sanitary and safe operation of the dishwashing area.
a. Completes clean up of the dishwashing area.
b. Reports any malfunctions of equipment as they occur.
c. Keep floors of kitchen swept and mopped.
d. Wash walls as needed and wash doors on a weekly basis.
e. Help in stacking stock as needed.
f. Rinsing and cleaning buckets and mops after using.
4. Assists with maintaining food service paperwork as required.
5. Performs other related duties as required for the effective operation of the food service area and the department.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.; 2 handed carrying of up to 60 lbs. which includes pushing and pulling. Can twist, grasp and grip objects as well as do horizontal and overhead reaching, bending and standing for 8 hours a day. Ability to do repetitive mixing, cutting, stirring, and other related activity associated with food prep. Can operate heavy or mechanized equipment including slicers, mixers, blenders, steam kettles, fryers and chippers.

We are currently seeking experienced MEALS ON WHEELS DRIVERS for positions in the Dayton Area. We have an ongoing need for people that are passionate about giving back to their community through serving home-bound seniors. This position is accountable for packing, driving, delivering and service monitoring meals delivered to clients. Persons performing this position must be flexible and willing to perform a variety of duties or routes from day-to-day. Must be 25 years old or older to drive for us. The shifts are typically 4-5 hours per day are generally between the hours of 9:00am and 3:00pm Monday-Friday, NO WEEKENDS. Hourly wage plus mileage reimbursement. Pay is $11.40. MUST HAVE A CAR, Valid insurance and Driver's License, maintain a good driving record; must possess a reliable vehicle and must pass a criminal background check and maintain a clear record.

There (2) two full-time Financial Service Worker/Payee open. This position is accountable for functioning as a representative payee for assigned clients who are disabled and are unable to manage their own money safely and responsibly. The position will also maintain the automated financial payee system and related computer records. This is a full-time position and work hours are Monday-Friday. We work 37.5 hours a week, so 7.5 hours a day. Pay is $15.00/hr.

(2) Full-time OUTREACH ASSESSORS are needed in our Meals on Wheels department. Accountable for performing telephone and in-home assessments and providing direct service to eligible clients in the service area, with strict confidentiality. Person must know how to use Word and Excel and some Access. Position is Monday - Friday. Pay is $12.30/hour. This is a full-time position and work hours are Monday-Friday. We work 37.5 hours a week, so 7.5 hours a day.

a. Conducts telephone intake interviews.

This position is accountable for assisting the Meals on Wheels Records Coordinator in tabulating and maintaining accurate records for the Meals on Wheels Division of the Nutrition Services Department with strict client confidentiality.

1. Helps to maintain accurate records to document the activities of the Meals on Wheels division.
a. Completes new client intake procedures.
b. Prepares route sheets for use by drivers on a weekly basis.

Essential job function is to provide overall coordination and operation of the nutrition site in order to provide nutritious meals to members and participants of the center.
Responsibilities include driving to congregate sites or restaurants that are hosting the congregate lunches and supervising personnel or volunteers, coordinate operations to ensure food is delivered from SRC's kitchen, distributing vouchers, setting up tables and ensuring food stays hot or cold. Responsible for clean-up/sanitation of areas prior to serving and after. Will also prepare daily paperwork for nutrition.
