Personal Chef Meals

What are Personal Chef Meals?

Over 1,800 homebound residents of Montgomery, Greene, Clark, Miami, Darke, Preble and Warren Counties receive a hot lunch and a friendly smile every weekday, 251 days a year. It is a daily personal contact with someone who cares.

Who can get Personal Chef Meals?

Anyone.  The program is designed for those who have a long or short term need for meals delivered to their home to help with recovery from illness, an operation, general assistance in meal preparation or simply for the convenience it offers.

How much does it cost?

Customers wanting to receive the Personal Chef meals will be billed $5.50 per meal (not including beverage).  A beverage can be purchased for an additional $.50 per meal.  Customers receiving two meals per day will be billed $10.00 for both meals (a discount of $1.00).

How do I pay for the meals?

A monthly invoice will be mailed to you with a detailed list of the meals you have received.  Payment is due on receipt of the invoice unless arrangements are made.  We accept Cash, Check, Money Order, VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover Card.

How do I get started?

You can get started on the Personal Chef Meal program by simply calling 937-853-2328.  At this number one of our friendly staff will be happy to assist you.  Before calling you will need to have the following information for the person who will be receiving the meals:

  • Name and Address

  • Two emergency contacts with telephone numbers

  • Any dietary restrictions

  • Meal schedule (frozen meals are available for dinner, weekends and/or holidays).

After collecting all of the required information a contract between Unforgettable Edibles and the customer will be sent.  Once the contract is signed and returned the customer will then begin receiving their meals.

How do I cancel or hold a meal?

Notify Unforgettable Edibles at 937-853-2328 if you need to hold a day, a week or a month.  Cancellations, holds and restarts must be made no later than 1:00pm the day prior.  These instructions should be followed to avoid being billed for meals not received.

What are the meals like?

Hot, delicious and nutritious meals are delivered to your door.  All meals include an entree, starch, vegetable and fruit or dessert.  Milk or juice are available at an additional cost.  Special diets are available including mechanical, ground meat, puree and renal.

When does the meal arrive?

Your lunch arrives between 10:30am and 2:00pm, Monday through Friday.  You must be home when the meal is delivered.

Can I save the lunch and eat it later?

The hot meal should either be eaten as soon as it arrives or else refrigerated immediately.  The meal may be frozen for up to 3 months.

Are there any other benefits to Personal Chef Meals?

  • A well balanced meal is important to good health and will help to maintain the strength needed to complete many daily activities.

  • Our drivers are trained to identify problems and act accordingly.

  • Cellular phones are used by the drivers to alert our office and the proper authorities if problems arise.
