Community Support

The mission of Senior Resource Connection is to keep older adults in their own homes as long as possible and support their caregivers.  For just $4.78 per day a hot nutritious meal is delivered to a senior along with a visual check, a brief conversation and a friendly smile ensuring that the individual is indeed OK.  That's $23.90 a week, just $95.60 per month.  Adult Day Service provides personal care, such as bathing, feeding, grooming, toileting and mobility along with therapeutic recreational activities for just $38.00 per day.  That's $190.00 a week or $760.00 per month.  Transportation is provided for $11.00 per day or $55.00 per week, $220.00 per month.   Please continue to remember those society tends to forget, the elderly.

The Senior Resource Connection relies on community contributions to help us help those who are too frail to help themselves.

You can donate funds to help our area's older adults live healthy independent lives.

Leave a Legacy

Planned giving offers you a way to support the Senior Resource Connection with a gift that has tax advantages.

Top 10 Things you can do today to leave a legacy

  1. Prepare a will. Only 50% of those who pass away have one. Without a will, you lose control of the possessions you worked a lifetime to acquire.

  2. Leave a gift in your will for the charitable organizations, like the Senior Resource Connection, that made a difference in your life. Less than 3% of all wills settled contain a charitable provision. Imagine the positive impact on our community if everyone made a donation to a favorite nonprofit, even modestly.

  3. Leave a specific dollar amount or a percentage of the assets in your will to your favorite charity. The provision can be part of a new will or added to your existing will as a codicil.

  4. Consider using assets for your charitable gift. These can include, but aren't limited to: stocks, bonds, CDs, real estate, vehicles, art and jewelry. Such gifts even may provide tax savings.

  5. Name your favorite charity as the beneficiary of your IRA or pension plan.

  6. Purchase a new life insurance policy naming your favorite charity as the beneficiary.

  7. Name your favorite charity as the beneficiary of an existing life insurance policy.

  8. Remember deceased loved ones with memorial gifts to charities.

  9. Encourage family members and friends to leave gifts to charities in their wills.

  10. Ask your financial advisers to include charitable giving as part of their counsel to other clients.

You can also give a gift of Stocks, Bonds, or Appreciated Securities.
